E-cigs to avoid 6-M deaths yearly — expert
Aiming to dramatically cut the six-million tobacco-related deaths each year worldwide, e-cigarette advocates yesterday said there is urgent need for all nations to regulate and enact laws that will recognize e-cigarette as a perfect alternative to smoking.
Speaking before select reporters, Heneage Mitchell, lead convenor of FactAsia.org, said its about time the world sees e-cig’s good effects and stay away from primitive and fearsome belief that such technology is more harmful than conventional smoking.
“We are here to relay the ultimate way to save millions and millions of lives,” Mitchell said at the forum held at the Holiday Inn in Makati.
